Important Reminders
CIA Specialty Challenge Exam for CCSA, CFSA, and CGAP Certification Holders
Eligible CCSA, CFSA, and CGAP certification holders have the unique opportunity to earn the CIA designation through a CIA Specialty Challenge Exam. Those interested can apply, register, and schedule the CIA Specialty Challenge Exam through 31 December 2020 (testing windows vary by available language; visit the CIA Specialty Challenge Exam web page for dates).

The exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions. Candidates receive electronic study material upon approval into the program.

Individuals who are inactive must complete the reinstatement form prior to applying to the program; otherwise, they will not have access to the form. The form is only available to candidates who meet the requirements.

Pearson VUE Access Tips

• Candidates must have an active exam registration in CCMS in order to access Pearson VUE.
• All exam scheduling and changes are completed through https://home.pearsonvue.com/iia. Exam language is selected upon scheduling the exam. Candidates are required to complete the exam within 180 days.

A one-time, 60-day extension is available per exam, and must be completed prior to the exam expiring. The cost is US$100, and the previously scheduled exam must be canceled prior to completing the extension form.
