In 2026, the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) brings its flagship conference to Brussels, gathering internal audit leaders, regulators, and governance experts from across Europe.

Under the theme “Internal Audit at Europe’s Crossroads – Navigating Change Towards Tomorrow,” the event will explore the challenges and opportunities shaping our profession in an era of accelerating transformation.

In 2026, IIA Belgium is selected as hosting institute. Brussels is the central hub and capital of Europe, making it the ideal location for this conference.

With the European Commission, the European Parliament, and numerous other key EU institutions located here, Brussels serves as the decision-making epicenter that directly impacts internal audit and corporate governance across the continent.
